Hi.

I bought some Ultegra wh6600 wheels on e-bay this week. Unfortunately when I got them home I realised that the splines on the freehub body are more pronouncd than on all my other shimano compatible wheels and the cassettes I have do not fit. Why is this? Do I need a specific cassette to fit these wheels??

Thanks

They are 10 speed only. They are also prone to cracked rims.

ok cheers. I always presumed that 10 speed compatability was more to do with the width of the freehub not the depth of the splines. Anyway I've done some swapping around and got them up and running though not on the bike they were intended for.

I had the same problem, it's called a Dura-Ace spline pattern. I put them on my other bike and have been very happy with them, great wheels.
