Avid Elixir 3 Replacement Pads

Hi,
My Boardman team MTB has gone through its first set of front brake pads, so I need to replace before my next wet and muddy ride!
Looking at 4/5 options on CRC:
Should I go for the Avid ones, at £15.99; they get some good reviews, but others complain of the Avid pads not lasting long

Also, what's the difference between organic and sintered, and what are the relative benefits of steel or aluminium back plate?
Nukeproof, at £11.99?

BrakeAuthority at £12.99
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=53368
or cheap as chips Clarks at £5.99, or the Clarkes Elite at £9.99
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=47530
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=55840
... or any other suggestions
Thanks very much ...

I got 4 pairs for £17.99 from uberbike components, they seem to be as good as the factory ones. I don't know if anyone else has an opinion on them, I've heard some people say that they're poor quality but I've got nothing bad to say about them.
