Hi

On the cusp of ordering a set of Easton EA70 xc wheels, but I am running with this cassette:

Cassette:
SRAM PG-730, 7-speed, 11-32t

Will it fit this wheel with a spacer:

Wheel: 26" rear wheel.
Wheelset Weight: 1698gr
Rim Type: Clincher
Type: Clincher - Non Ust
Wheel Size: 26"
Rim Material: Welded Aluminum With Eyelets
Internal Rim Width: 18mm
External Rim Width: 23mm
Spokes: Straight Pull, Straight Gauge, Black
Rear Spoke Pattern: 24-3x
Nipple Type / Color: Black Brass
Rear Hub Type: X2 / 6 Bolt Disc Type Only
Rear Axle Size: 10x135qr
Bearing Type: Cartridge

I was looking at building some wheels, and I know I can fit a 7 speed to XT Hubs with a spacer, can the same be done with the Eastons?

Should do. I have found the best spacers to be the spacers removed from an old cassette.

Either unscrew the bolt, or drill/grind the rivets off to split the cassette down, then just use those spacers.

just add a 4.5mm spacer first.
