considering upgrading the shimano XT wheelset on my Zesty and wondering if either of the above will be a worthysuccessor to the XT wheels.
I generally ride trails - North downs, Welsh Trail Centres - and don't get much airtime - but am best part of 15 stone (hence potentially considering the havens).
I'll be looking to run the wheels UST.
I've heard that the bearings (and indeed the review on this site mentions such) may be a bit dodgy. Easily serviceable?
Anyone else have anything to say on them?
(I'm not after other wheelset suggestions...it's just I've seen the above at half price right now)
thanks

surely someone has an opinion of these wheels?!0

Do you have a link so we can see the exact models and pricing?0

The Havens look on the money - light weight but tough - I'd take them over the XC9- for the extra strength.
Good price for the pair, however the bearings can be hit and miss.0 -
Thanks Supersonic - When you say hit and miss....how do you mean?
And are they easily servicable/upgradeable when they do go?0 -
Here is a short review, though are this years model:

Pretty sure the bearings are easily done, but not sure about the freehub.0 -
I've been using the EA90xc wheels this year, the 15mm front/QR rear versions. All good. I'm 14 stone so no lightweight but then I'm not doing anything too technical downhill.0
