Finding correct replacement rear mech hangers...

I was surprised to find, having sheared mine on Saturday, that one needs a very specific hanger to fit specific bike models. What happens if said bike model is a) fairly obscure brand and ii) discontinued brand?

BETD don't have it in their (pretty comprehensive) list. Not sure what to do.

The bike in question is a Monoc Quattro Pro.
