Ultegra ten speed on nine speed set up

I have a nine speed cassette on a trek 1.2 compact I have upgraded most parts to Ultegra 6700 and fancied an Ultegra cassette. However the cassette of this model is 10 speed and the stock cassette is nine speed 12/25. is there room for the 10 speed to fit.

    so your shifters are 9spd?

    you need a 9spd cassette.

    but to answer your last bit. the freebody is the same width for 8/9/10spd so yes a 10spd cassette would fit one.

    please not shimano 10spd only bodies, even though they are the same width have taller splines.

    yea 9 speed Sora shifters..good point there. Would need to do both the presumably, maybe later I think. Thanks
