Getting to a Tour KOM by foot?

Hoping to get to the Col du Grand Colombier kom on stage 10 of the tour.

I'll be on foot. Do you reckon there's a good chance of hitch hiking from Bellegarde?

    As long as you don't look like an axe-wielding, homicidal maniac, expect you'll be able to hitch a lift
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Shuttle busses are becoming more popular . The road was blocked on the north side of the Stelvio this year even though they came up the south side. Shuttle busses ran up and down all day (although we had a long wait for coming down!)
