checking bearings on a ceramic GXP BB

Hi all just got a second hand SRAM Ceramic BB and wanted to check it was ok. One side (drive side) is silk smooth absolutely no resistance whatsoever. On the non drive side I can feel a tiny bit of notchyness when spinning the bearing with my fingers.

Is this normal? Acceptable? Or just to be expected from a 2nd hand BB?

    pull the covers off and give them a clean and regrease. if the notchyness is still there then it is damaged.
