A definitive gear set-up guide?

After fitting the cadence adapter to my bike yesterday i noticed my gears were off :( I only took the back wheel off to tighten the zip ties up and when i put it back i noticed the derailleur seemed a little off. I checked the obvious things : was my wheel in straight, was there any cables that had come loose etc. All seemed fine. As a quick fix i just tightened the adjuster on the derailleur and it seemed to help a little but it still is not shifting as it was.

I have full 105 10 speed. Are there any decent videos you guys can recommend that will show me how to reset the gears so they actually work silently again?

Thanks

read the set up info on Parktools. way better than any video.
