Oleg Tinkoff back in cycling? Oh good.

Good to see a team being able to secure sponsorship rather than all the recent merging we have seen.

Does anyone else think of Pavel Brut in a week one Giro break when they think of Tinkoff?

I'm bit sure about the new blue and yellow kit.

Also, Garmin are now Garmin-Sharp. I haven't heard on them since they sponsored Manchester United in the 90s. I assumed they'd gone bust.

I quite like it. It's how a cycling jersey should look imo :P

Load colours and logos into a cannon then fire at the jersey and hope for the best! :P

Been sponsoring rapha (as above) and the UK cycling scene TV coverage for a while.

That just shows how little attention I pay to domestic cycling.

Will they be able to wear that jersey at the Tour? Of all the teams to get an extra sponsor I would have had Saxo very low down the list.

I don't see why not. It's distinct enough from the maillot jaune IMHO.

Sky and Cervelo have had special tour kits so don't see any problem in Saxo wearing that. As long as they get UCI approval unlike Radioshack did with their Livestrong kit

I was thinking more in terms of the amount of yellow on it.

didn't ONCE used to have a yellow jersey in the 80s90s and the tour made them wear pink?

    Ah fair enough.

Would that mean if ever Farnese Vini got a Tour invite they would need new gear?

I think ONCE didn't have to change - they did it voluntarily.

More recently, Saunier Duval had far more yellow than that Saxo kit.

Dunno. He seems less gangster than the guys running Katusha, and he used to interview pretty well.

He obviously is a big cycling fan.

You have to be a bit unscrupulous to have made a lot of money in Russia, judging by my recent interactions with a rather large Russian firm.
