After a week in moraine on dh bikes iv decided it's time to update my standard 09 specialised big hit1 . Iv bought sum wide 20mm rise bars, sum rubber queen 2.4 tyres,and a set of new shimano saint brakes. I'm now deciding as to boxer or for 40s at the front? And have a bit of a problem finding a uprated rear shock i was thinking a fox dh 4 or 5 but can't find any that measure up eye to eye the same as the original. Does it have to? Can any1 help . Jason

Try English, but yes.

Some frames allow you to put a different i2i length shock on to change geometry/travel. However, on frames not designed for this it will likely ruin the geometry and may cause issues with clearance, especially on full compression. Email specialized to see what size shock will fit.
