Im needing some new road/track shoes but need advice. Stuck between Mavic Zxelliums, Bont vaypors or Specialized S-Works. I have narrow feet which is why the mavics and sworks are probably more suitable but the Bonts are best for track.
Anyone recommend a pair?

I have narrow feet and I went for the S-Works. Had a few issues with the BOA dials at first but they are brilliant now!
I tried on the Mavics and I wasn't a fan at all, the fit was all wrong for me. Tried some Sidi Ergo Carbon 2's and despite them being comfortable I wasn't a fan of the excess padding in them so went for the S-Works (which were cheaper too!). You're best trying them on though, I went to twice to two different shops to find the ones I wanted, it's handy to do them both in the same day as its much easier to make a comparison then!0 -
I too have the S works. BOA dials can be confusing- if you turn them the wrong way they will tighten but not hold tension.
Also they are on sale at Rutland Cycles at £150 instead of £2000 -
I thought that the newer S-Works were better for wider feet - I've got reasonaly wide feet and they fitted me very well - a similar fit to the Zxelliums actually. I actually bought the Mavics then sold them as they pinched slightly - I imagine if they fit they'd be ridiculously comfortable though - felt like trainers to wear!
For narrower feet I'd also look at Northwave and Sidi.0 -
A problem I found with the mavics was the position of the cleat bolt holes - they are too far forward. If you like to run your cleats quite far back then stick with Shimano or Specialized.0

The Bonts are custom-moulded and different from the others. The moulding and stiffness make them race shoes. The Mavics as already posted don't suit everyone due to the cleat drillingsM.Rushton0

I replaced my old S-Works with the current ones and they're great. Really comfy and light.
Having the 2 BOA's is great for spreading the tension.
Spesh footbeds are really good if you need any help that way.0 -

Bony Vaypors. I've just switched to Bonts from Specialized. Spent last week riding in the Pyrenees with the Bonts, they are superb and v v comfy especially if combined with heat mouldable inners such as SOLEs.- 2023 Vielo V+1

Another vote for S-Works (not that I've tried the others!). I find them comfortable, light and they have lasted a few years and are still going strong so no complaints except perhaps the price which stung a bit when I got them. Glad I did though0

Cheers for the advice, I went for the Zxelliums and they are great! s-works were too wide (i have abnormally narrow feet..) and i got the zxelliums with £40 off0
