Replacing just one chainring?

I want to try Srams solid TT outer chain ring. Will it be OK to just replace the outer ring and leave the current inner ring on? (it's done about 2000 miles). Or would it mess up chain wear and shifting meaning I'd be best to replace both chain rings at the same time?

Cheers

A chainring is barely worn in after 2000 miles - try changing the outer only first. The only issue might be the alignment of the shift ramps and pins making the upshift a bit slow.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yup - no worries at all about just replacing the big ring. Or the small ring should you wish.

You've probably sussed this already, but I think planet x are the cheapest just now for the SRAM aero chainrings. £60 off the top of my head.
