Chain is coming off the jockey wheel

Every now and then, and genrerally after its been in a gear for a while, the chain will tip itself off to the side of the lower jockey wheel.
This tends to happen in low gears - small ring at front, and maybe 6th or 7th largest at the back. Only way that I've found to remedy it is to change up at the front and go into a yet bigger ring at the back - clearly not ideal!
Bike is generally well cleaned, and its a SRAM Red rear mech on an 11-28 (SRAM 1070) cassette. I've checked the chain for wear and it seems fine.
And with a 125 mile ride as part of the Celtman triathlon next weekend I'd like to get it sorted!
Cheers.

Could be the rear hanger mech is bent. Something similar happened to me and that was the reason.
Only a tenner to fix if it is.0
