jockey wheels
quick q before I order a new set of jockey wheels.
They come in two options: 7/8 speed shimano + 9/10 campag, or 9/10 shimano (somtimes +11 campag). I've got a 600 rear derailleur, was 8spd when it came out I believe, but running a 9spd chain and cassette. Since the wheels can't possibly affect the cassette, and I've never heard of shimano/campag specific chains, am I right to assume this refers to the derailleur only, and so I should be getting the 7/8 speed option? Cheers.

yes, go with the ones that match the rear mech - the width of the jockey wheel centre bearing can vary, so the wrong size might bind/wobblemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0

I bought BBB jockey wheels. They come with spacers to fit pretty much anything.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

The difference also relates to the number of teeth on the jockey wheels (and hence the diameter is slightly different). Count the teeth on your current jockey wheels and get the same.
They are 10T I guess??0 -
yep, 10T.0
