Pedal thread cracked and stuck in crank

So...
I've been trying to get my censored pedal off my cranks this evening. It has been done up so tightly that when undoing it I managed to put a crack into the slot where the allen key goes.
The crack goes into the thread and thus will not allow an allen key to grip in the slot. Is there anything I can do to now get the pedal out? Is drilling it out an option, or will I have to buy a whole new crankset...?
