105 gruppo is 460 euros
Rival gruppo is more like 560-600 euros

which would you go for ?

The possibility of a 32 rear cassette is tempting me with Rival and I think you save a few grams with SRAM. With 105 x30 rear is feasible and it may be possible to go to x32. You can only get Apex a few euros cheaper than Rival and the Rival chainset is supposed to be better.

i love my Rival set up on my Roubaix, better than the (admittedly 5600 series) 105 gruppo on my training bike. will go for either Rival or Force on my next bike :)

The new 105 seems like an improvement though - at least the levers.

I've got SRAM Rival but will only be getting Shimano on future bikes. It's more reliable.

Got 105-5700 on CAAD10. Didn't like the ergo of the shifters, changed to SRAM for a better shaped shifters.

afterall, 105-5700 is a high quality groupset. can't go wrong with either.
