New shorter cranks
Hi,
I'm happy with the chainset/gears as it is but I'm thinking of changing (shortening) my crank length on my Dolce Specialized because there's not much clearance between the wheel edge and the cranks at the 9 o'clock position. I'm leaning round the corners but there are a few occasions where my toe and wheels scrape. Any thoughts/considerations?

crank length is determined by your inseam length.
That said I ride 172.5mm cranks on my road bike and 170mm on my fixed wheel bike, and both feel fine.Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0 -
Toe overlap with the front wheel is normal on road bikes. When cornering you should put your outside foot in the 6 o'clock position.- - - - - - - - - -

As DesWeller says - if cornering hard then outside foot should be down and all your weight on it to help stability. You simply dont generally turn the bars enough at anything other than walking pace - so just ride faster!!0

Cheers guys!
I wasn't sure if it was a 'usual' thing or not, but since it is I might not bother.
