Hello,

Jst a quick question. when i had used hot soapy water to clean the drive train and i washed off the foam with just water, dryed, cleaned, degreased, again with the water on it, dried and then lubed it up.

i'm concerned about water being used on it. is it still ok that i used water to clean off the foam??

You are worried about using water on your bicycle.

    Seriously?

Don't worry, it's fine. Next time, no need to wait for the chain to dry, hang it up and spray it with GT85 or TF2 to chase the water out.

No need for that and anyway, the GT/TF will just sit on the chain and make sure that the lube doesn't penetrate/break teh lube up and make it flick off all over your newly cleaned bike.

    3 options:
    1. Leave in the sun to dry
    2. Get an old towel, and run the chain through at massive speed while holding it quite tight - this will dry the chain perfectly in about 30 seconds
    3. Use a compressor/airline and feel PRO while doing it. You can also use the compressor to dry off the whole bike at the same time.

Fold up a square of old towel, apply lube to towel, run top and bottom of the chain over the towel until there is enough lube on there to leave a mark on your finger. Then do the same to the side plates and job jobbed.
