Does anyone know where I can find replacement sprockets for Ultegra or 105 cassettes?
I've recently put a new chain on and it slips in 1-2 sprockets.
Sounds like a waste of money to change the whole cassette as it is in good condition so I wonder if I can buy just the sprockets anywhere?

EDIT: found this site http://www.bonthronebikes.co.uk/424-416137 Am I right in assuming that DA sprockets can be mixed with Ultegra ones?

TIA

I bet the old chain was running fine on the cassette before you replaced it.Yes?

I would say it's not economically worthwhile buying single sprockets as the others will be worn in varying degrees also.

Stick the old chain back on until both disintegrate. That's what I did. Lasted for ages.

No way was I going to junk a £45 cassette when it worked fine with the old chain.

Maybe we should have changed our chains sooner. But then the price of buying 3+ new chains to maximise cassette life is not cheap. I have decided unless my cassette is Dura Ace (which I only have one of) I am not going to bother changing chains at all unless it's with a new cassette.

Correct, except that it was really badly worn and noisy after nearly 6000km and two winters. In fact with the same number of links it was about 12mm longer than the new one!

A chap on the buying advice forum suggested that I try Rose Bikes in Germany. I've ordered 2 sprockets for £18 inc. postage. The two sprockets (14t and 15t) are the most used, I reckon at least twice as much as the others so I might be able to drag this cassette and new chain for another few 1000 kms...

a new 105 cassette ius only £40 so you have spent nearly half that on just 2 sprockets. Change the whole cassette next time. 6K km is alot for one cassette + chain.

I guess you're right although the sprockets I ordered are DA 7800 so I'm saving about 0.000003333 grams in the process

Found another German website that carries spare shimano parts: http://bicikli.de/shop/. Had to order an inner plate for my rear mech (it's the 2nd time in 3 years that I break it...)

I'd put money on Bonthrone Bikes not having those in stock, p!ssing you around for a few weeks and then ultimately saying they can't get them - 'supplier issues'....
    More problems but still living....
