Cannondale Silk Warrior 1000
I seem to have managed to become the owner a few years ago (it's a 2002 model, possibly only made that year but I got it a bit later) of one of the world's rarer bikes. It's a fast city bike with limited suspension.

Anyone got one of these? If so, I was wondering if you knew anything about options for converting it to a rigid fork, as Cannondale has been bought by a bunch of marketing/accountancy wonks I think with little interest in support.
Other info available on request - I posted on two leading forums some time ago on this issue and little response - only reference I've found on here to this is from a guy who had one stolen - he never got a reply and only ever posted 1 post!
I'm beginning to think there's something really spooky about this bike - I once wandered into Brixton Cycles to ask their techy bods the same question and there on a workstand was the spitting image of my bike - the only one I've ever seen. It's a really great bike, but I need to sort some sort of conversion or maybe dump it/strip it.
Anyway, enough waffle, I welcome replies if this means anything to anyone.

It's a HeadShock and they're not that rare, just uncommon! I'd have thought any Cannondale mountain bike dealer would be able to advise.
Why do you want a rigid fork? Is the HeadShock dead?http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

Thanks for the reply unixnerd.
The Headshock needs a service.
And I have reason to believe that it is not possible to get it serviced.
(It has taught me to not buy any more bikes with non standard bits and definitely to never recommend a Cannondale to anyone).
So I'm looking into the possibility of getting it made rigid while preserving the rider-bike position.0 -
I'd be pretty amazed if you couldn't get the HeadShock serviced, have you asked a Cannondale dealer?
I must admit I like the HeadShock idea a lot. I'd certainly not refuse a bike with one.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.
