Bike Chain length messed up
My chain broke on Monday and I had to quickly get one Tuesday lunchtime before a non-aero TT last night.
Whilst I was trying to size it in the back of my car, one of my friends was talking to me and I mis-sized it, so I think its too short (I forgot to add the 2 links rule...)
New chanin or is there a way to resolve easily? I was thinking having to buy spare links would mean it ended up being nearly as expensive as a new chain?

Are you using joining links or the Shimano joining pin ?
If using joining link, why not just use the one from your old chain to add a bit more onto your new chain ?
You might prefer not to have the two joining links adjacent, so cut a bit more off your new chain and then join the offcut bit from Tuesday back onto it0 -
Links, but it's already installed. I've never been able to get the links back apart agina - any tips?0

What did you do with the old chain, just split it with the chain tool at a pin and you still have it, complete with the joining link in it ?
To separate it, first of all clean it and make sure there's no grit in it, then push the two sides of the link together (i.e. squeeze the middle of it to make it a bit narrower), whilst pushing the two ends of it together (i.e. pushing the chain links on both ends of it together).
A bit of waggling too might help, but basically you want the pins of the joining link to move back down the slot so you can then pull it apart.0
