torque setting for seatpost

Just picked up a Ritchey Comp V2 seatpost, but no mention in the instructions nor on the seatpost what the torque setting should be for the two upward facing saddle clamp bolts.
Say... That's a nice bike..

    Suggests the torque settings should be written on the seatpost itself??

    I have the same seatpost. The torque setting is 16NM max for the two saddle clamp bolts. It's printed clearly on mine, but perhaps your bolts are reversed?

    Strange. Still, the max torque is 16NM for those bolts. :-)

    that seems a bit high. I've used 10nm on a larger, single bolt seatpost

    I agree. I tighten them to c. 10. I suppose it is just the maximum torque setting after all.
