Unless you want maps and elevation a normal speedo should do that, something like a cateye strada.0

Cateye Strada served me well a while ago
But do you have a smartphone/gizmo??
If so plenty of free apps like Strava/Cardiotrainer etc etc will tell you where youve been and how fast0 -
I have a Bryton Rider 50 which has served me well. I like the fact I don't have to take my iPhone out if the weather is bad for Strava and I don't have to worry about draining my phone battery with a navigation app. I have heard good things about the Garmin 200 if you aren't too bothered about mapping.0

The advantage Garmins have over the others is that Strava and Ride with GPS can read directly from them with no faffing. I like that.
I'd go for the 500 if I wasn't bothered about mapping. I had the 800 cuz it's useful for riding sprotive routes when the sportives aren't onSaracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
