Is the upgrade worth the extra money?

    Not in my opinion. Wheels you would want something better anyway than either option. There is not a lot of difference from Ultegra to 105. For you and me at least, may be Mark Cavendish would complain if you know what I mean.

    Its all down to the colour IMO. :D

    I went for the Pro version because my lbs had one in my size and I preferred blue over the red. I also liked the idea of Ultegra rather than 105.
    To be honest though, I can't tell any difference to the quality of the gear changes when compared to the Sram apex on my other bike.

    i've found an ex-display 2012 pro model for £50 more than the standard one so think that has made my mind up :)

    What accounts for the 300g weight difference quoted between the 2 (8.2 v 8.5kg)?

    Is ultegra lighter than 105 or is that really all in the wheels?

    just ordered it! cant wait for it to arrive now!

    i think the weight is probably down to both, ultegra is lighter and the wheels too.
