Hi Everyone

Im in the market for a new commuter and have been looking at the new ribble sportive
http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/cate ... 5-12-46015
or a carbon frame from the far east (carbonzone??)

Anyway, im totally confused by the sizing charts.
Im Just under 5ft 11" and have inside leg of 32".
My current race bike is a 56cm with a 55.5cm top tube.
Looking at the ribble charts i should be a large (55cm) yet when i emailed ribble they advised me to go for a 52cm.

So basically does anyone have a ribble frame? if so, any advice on sizing would be very welcome.

Alternative to the ribble sportive is to get a carbon frame from the far east & build my own bike.
I have read the recent thread on here about the ribble stealth and de rosa = the fm339 from china??
I do love the frame and think that building my own bike could be fun :?
Anyway, does anyone know where you can get one of these FM339 frames from? (i have done a search on the usual places and cant find one). And what is the sizing like?
Also, can you get the carbon frames painted by the supplier or do they just come in the naked carbon?

Thanks for any help

    The Ribble sizes are for the length of the seat tube. The New Sportive has a sloping top tube making the seat tube shorter.

    The length that you should look at is A, the virtual top tube.

    Large = 57.4cm
    Med = 55.3cm

    You want Medium. It has a 53cm seat tube and that is what is used for the size. The advice Ribble gave you was correct.
