Replacing my winter Continental Gatorskins with a pair of Bontrager Race Lites has added 2mph to my average speed. Anyone know of other tyres that will add another 2mph to my average speed? :)

Conti supersonics are good for a couple of mile per hour.

Bonty's are ok but need high pressure to work about 140psi

Don't forget the placebo effect of new gear.

Was it because you remembered to put air in the Bontragers?

I always ran the Gatorskins at 100psi too. I'm not kidding about this - all winter I was struggling to get my average speed up. Three rides on the new tyres and I am back to where I always used to be (before I put the Conti's on). Amazing.

Vittoria Corsa CX Evo's - better than the Schwalbe Ultremo ZX HD's that they replaced!! Love them!!
