My outer ring is like a ninja star and can't find a 105 5700 with 50t. Any reason the 5600 version won't fit? Possibly a daft question, I'd assume both versions use Type b.

It'll be fine - 3rd party ones likes Stronglight will likely be better and cheaper though. See Spa cycles.
