Help with Student Trek Survey?

Hello!

If you have 5 minutes, I'd greatly appreciate your help on a school survey.

We're unaffiliated with the Trek brand; we are students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We're seeking to learn more about Trek's perceived brand personality. It is a very qualitative survey, and it is explicitly about Trek.

It's quick. Thank you -- this is the second and last survey I will post here.

A couple disclaimers:

- For those who are concerned that this may be spam; I can assure you it is not, but please refrain from taking it if you are concerned.
- I know this site does not represent a representative sample. I'm seeking to learn more from highly-engaged cyclists who are likely to have an understanding of the Trek brand.

I appreciate your help!

Sorry mate, bit of a rubbish survey. First question: 5 words that come to mind about Trek...err, not a lot. "Bikes" is all I could come up with on the spur of the moment...so I failed to make the first stage as the the survey kept asking me to come up with 5 words, at which point I just bombed out.

I reckon that there are a lot of folks who cannot be asred to come up with 5 words about Trek (yes, on reflection I could have mentioned Madone, Lance or socks :) but they didn't spring to mind) so the survey may end up with very few who make it through or a lot of made up words.

I have to agree with Bobbinogs, I got to 3 (and one of those was Radio shack) sorry.

On the second question, it might have helped to have some words that I'd actually use to describe Trek 'if Trek were a person'.

E.g. dull, average, grey, corporate. I have to say nothing as colourful as 'vain' or 'generous' really springs to mind. Cannondale it ain't.

Edited to add: who are the people in the pictures?! This is turning into a pretty surreal survey.

I've done it but it's not a great survey if I'm honest.

I also didn't know who the people in the pictures were, was one Madonna and one Megan Fox?? :?

I thought it was a rubbish survey too. On the "celebrities" questions I only knew who one of them was, so how one is supposed to tie those people in with a brand I really don't know.

Most of the brands and celebs were from the US - this is a primarily British site - so it doesn't make much sense to most here

I'd done it but echo the points above. I would drop the whole 'which celebrity are Trek like' section as the answers will hold little value from a bunch of Brits who don't know who half of them are. He problem is youre tying to define the character of one of the most vanilla brands out there, albeit a brand that manufactures great bikes.

Proof, if proof was needed that celebrity is in the eye of the beholder.

I own a madone 5 series.....I now hate myself for the fact I bought one after having completed that survey.....How does the University of Wisconsin rationalise that???

Don't blame your self, blame the pillock who designed that survey. About as much use as bollix on the Pope.
