From Zipp 404s tubs to Shimano C24 clinchers? (for Racing)

I need an advice.

I have a pair of Zipp 404 tubulars which I use for racing. Unfortunately I find the tubs a bit of a hassle.
I was thinking of switching to Shimano C24 (with a good pair of Veloflex Master/Corsa and latex tubes) for road racing and crit racing.

Has anybody done the same, and if so, can you feel the difference? What are your thoughts?

This would be strictly for racing.

Thanks for your input.

I have Shimano DA C24 with Veloflex Master fitted on it. I can't compare to Zipp but I run FF6R wheels from Fast Foward. Weight wise they are very similar 50-100g different I believe. The C24 are very strong pair of wheels, acceleration/climbing/and sudden burst is very good. As for racing if your in a group my personal experience are they are similar but obviously in front the deep rims are better. But seeing we are in England where weather isn't exactly LA, C24 should be good enough as an all arounder. As for the Veloflex I run them with Specialized inner tube and its fine, did have few punctures when running thinner and lighter ones from Specialized, have no experience with latex. C24 are so much cheaper to replace that Zipp 404 :)

Let me know if you want rid of the 404s though!

A few lads I ride with have done this. I myself am mulling over a pair of decent clinchers as well. All are very happy with the Dura Ace wheels, which to be fair go up rolling roads better than a deep section in my opinion.

Had a day today where I wished I was on decent clinchers. Rode the Cipollini Gran Fondo and was like a winters day hammering around the Mendips with deep section tubs on skitty roads with no brakes holds you back I think. Would have pushed the bike more on the descents with decent braking and less side wind issues etc etc.
