I'm having to tighten around 6 spokes every 100 miles on my rear wheel! Is this normal or should I use thread lock, the wheel is an old school 32 spoker

so the wheel has not been pre-tensioned properly

you can do this yourself (research required), or get lbs to give the wheel a truing, and mention the offending spokes

either way will fix it, its not quite as simple as just tightening the loose spokes

threadlok is not a good idea either

    Not. Normal.

You shouldn't need threadlock either really. If it's recurring I'd get it checked out by a shop or wheelbuilder.

The tension is not right and need to be put right. 32 spokes is not old school, just right school.
If you live on my side of the planet, bring it in and we'll get it right (and round), otherwise find a LBS who has seen a tension gauge before, they look like this, bring a photo with you

If they don't have one, run like the wind
