Single Speed....help!

Hi
I need some sound advice on purchasing a single speed bike please. There are a few on the market that I like - Charge, Globe etc, but wondered if cheaper brands I have seen around would do me just as good? I have seen a Coyote for around £160 and bearing in mind it is for commuting a few times a week [6 miles each time] thought this might be ok? BUT, would really appreciate some help!
Many thanks!

The Coyote and it's ilk are best described as bike-shaped-objects - components are of the lowest quality, the frames typically weigh a ton and you'll be cursing the fact that you'd be better-off spending a bit more money. If really strapped for cash, you'd be better converting an old 10-speed from your local small-ads.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Agreed - Coyote bikes' are a crock of sh*t...avoid.
    Never mistake motion for action

  • Thanks for the feedback. I was advised as much but thought I may as well get a few opinions. What are peoples views on Charge, Create or Globe? Cheers!

Charge good, Create bad (check lfgss or just search on google), don't really know about Globe.

Worth looking for something second hand on here or lfgss
