Raleigh 200 ? Giant Defy 4 ?

I'm on a budget of around £400 and have managed to find a Raleigh 200 2011 @ £400 or the Giant Defy 4 Compact 2011 @ £412. The Raleigh has a better spec with carbon forks however i don't think the Raliegh brand is as good as the Giant. I've found it difficult to find reviews on the Raleigh 2011 model, however the Giant has 4 stars on the bikeradar review. Which bike would you go for ? Any other suggestions welcome (not keen on second hand)
I will be doing a 12 mile communte per day.

The Raleigh is a very good Bike people over look them because of the name, I have the 2011 Airlite 400 which i got from wiggle for £539.
Every other Bike I pass now seems to be a Specalized Allez be different go for the Raleigh.0
