Which Bike is best racing

Lads just want your opinions on which bike would be best suited to be competitive in cycling races.Buying a new bike but want it to last a few years.Have done triathalons on an aluminium frame but want to upgrade and get invloved with a cycling club and compet in races.

Judging by the state of my friends bike after he crashed on Saturday it will be whatever amount you can afford to pretty much write off if you have a crash. That said have always beena a fan of Giant and always see lots of TCR Advanced's at most race meets I go to.
