Good to see the box hill zigzag open up but ticket only.
As I am a local we have been told that the roads will be closed to cars at 4 am so you will either have to park and cycle or get in the night before.
Just passing on a bit of information that may not otherwise be picked up but I am sure that if it position it will be a great day

That's so kind of you to have identified yourself as a local.

Will all of us be able to sleep on your living room floor?

Bagsy the sofa bed. Can I order the continental breakfast?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

No, I was in the sofa bed first, and that's my pillow.

And I am NOT sharing it with a rat- you can sleep in the cellar with the rest of your ilk.

Or in a hutch with your wee guinea pig pal.

Would you like a carrot or some dandelion leaves for your supper, little Guinea Pig?

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Guinea Pig..................................

Seeing as the sofa-bed is gone I'll have to have the guest room. Oh well. Full English please.

Peruvian. I think it's only the Peruvians who eat guinea-pigs.

Or maybe it's all South Americans.

Anyway, as long as you stay with your little rodent friend, you'll be fine.

I thought ddraver was a hamster. Anyhow, I'm not staying in the basement with the vermin... I'm pedigree don't you know? No, we'll have to 'twos up' on the sofa bed. Top to tail though, so no funny business mind m'lady. I'll bring some snacks. Everyone likes cheese, right?

Rats have pedigrees?? Isn't a rat a rat for a' that, as Rabbie Burns would say?

I must warn you before you make yourself comfortable in MY sofa bed, that my previous experience of rats ran parallel to my experience as a herpetologist.

Blimey, rats with pedigrees. They really are getting ideas above their station.

    Nice bit of cheese though.

It depends how much more floorspace the OP has got left.

(I'll be alright in the treehouse, naturally.)

i "know" someone who lives locally ;-) Is it just a case of turining up?

Can't see why people can't walk cross country from, say, Headley Heath.

Note- this knowledge is taken from Google Maps. It may not even be in the correct county.

You've all totally scared off the OP by the way.

I'm genuinely up for arranging to meet up in a pub on the route which will show the race.

Will do that nearer the time.

I'm really looking forward to the sofa-bed ying-yang thang... I'm gonna cut my toenails special like. Rick, I'll have a large glass of dry sherry if you're getting the drinks in?

I'm hoping to be down for it and stay in the big smoke to perv at Zara in her jodphurs a couple of days later so would be good to have a meet up and sink a few over priced London pints.

Tush - can you bring down some top quality Ayrshire bacon for the breakfast? Ta.

    Snakes actually.

I love snakes. Always have done. Just wish I could have another python, but the present Tusher cat objects.

Did you know that the ancient Egyptians originally worshipped felines because they were such excellent snake hunters?

Yup. And some tattie scones as well?
  • ratsbeyfusratsbeyfus Posts: 2,841
Snakes? Ughhhh. They're just big worms in fancy leather jackets. Think I'm gonna curl up with pixellated monkey man in the tree house. Brighton's not famous for anything except rock, and that's nasty for your teeth. Shall I bring a bag of Wotsits?

Just a slice of lemon for my gin please, Mr Ratty.

This sofa bed is soooo large, especially now I have it all to myself.
  • ddraverddraver Posts: 21,084
Room for a Guinea pig then? I'm warm and snuggly....

But of course! Guinea pigs are delightful, polite, sweet little creatures. Here's a little nest for you on the pillow.

Some fresh grass with that lettuce leaf?

OK... I'm not having a go at ddraver, as I'm sure he's the exception that proves the rule, but when rodents get together for a game of football, the guinea pig always goes in goal. Always.

    soccer_guinea_pig.jpg

Don't say I haven't warned you Tush... sure, 'sweet', 'polite' Mr ddraver (if that's even his name) will start the night on the pillow next to you, but then at about 2am it'll be all "I'm cold, and missing my cotton-wooly-nesty stuff... do you mind if I snuggle up..." etc, etc.

    BE WARNED!
