Morning All
Quick question:
I'm currently using Continental Sprinter tubs that I think are an excellent all round tub - roll well, puncture resistant, look cool, last well, priced well when tracked down in the deals. I use them for training, fast rides and racing, all with no problems at all.
However, not being the lightest tub in the world, I fancy saving some weight there.
Can anyone recommend a tub that is decently lighter (a saving of 100g per tub is about the most I believe I can seriously expect before they become too light for all round use and puncture al the time) and won't break the bank?
Requisites are:
- Roll well.
- Puncture resistant (as much as you can expect from a lightish tub)
- Be completely slick, black and look well hard.
- Not cost a million Pounds.
Am I living in cloud cuckoo land think I can save 100g a tyre without going full race and therefore puncture every 5 minutes? Please feel free to mock if you think I am.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thankyou very much

Veloflex Carbon. Mine are 249 and 248g each respectively.
or Veloflex Carbon rear, and Extreme front if you want to save more weight0 -
I use Continental Competition - worth the extra over Sprinters but I don't use them for anything that is not at least a little bit competitive. Otherwise I changed the rims on the other hubs and use Michelin Pros on Open Pros. Rider definitely not pro! That combo is, of course, much heavier (i.e. noticeably) but durable. I've had 2 punctures on Sprinters in Hampshire (puncture alley, for sure) and none so far on Competitions.0

Mavic Yksion grip link and power link are to me, top notch. Fast, very and look great on the bike. Descend really well too.0
