Newbie... Need adive on picking a bike...

HI All...

I am just about to get my first proper MTB but not sure on what to get I have a short list, but would like your thoughts and suggestions.... My budget it is £300 -n £500.... Here's the ones I have been looking at..

SPECIALIZED HARDROCK SPORT
CUBE AIM
Trek 4300 Hardtail

But open to your suggestions as well...

For £500 the normal recommendation is the Rockrider 8.1 from Decathlon, there are also the Voodoo and Carrera Fury at Halfords which while not quite as good value are still good bikes.

the Lardrock is horrid, forget that, the Trek isn't much better, the Cube

For a bit less Money the latest Carrera Vulcan is a lot of bike for the money (Hydraulic disk brakes for example) and much better than any of those three.
