Folding tyres! Why are they called this and how are they different. Apart from the fact that i guess they fold :?

the beads are not steel and they can be folded.

ok, is this so you can transport them yourself and change them?

Just that, yes.

You can fold them and pop a spare into your backpack.

They are also (usually) lighter.

They are lighter and often are better compounds.
