Bike Paint

can anyone recommend a brand of paint to use on my frame?

also, what is the best way to do it? some old knacky wheels, and a stand that attaches to the rear wheel??

    I used an old seatpost and a stand clamped to it. (got a bit of paint on the stand though...)

    I stripped all the parts from mine and hung it on pieces of wire through the head tube and bottom bracket shell. I used acrylic car paints, but I didn't get the curing right; the air temperature was too cold and consequently it's not hardened as I would have liked.

    I used these paints....

    Started with the white undercoat and then added the colour. Make sure you mask the areas you don't want to really well cos the paint will bleed behind the tape if you don't. Then its decals on and coat with the clear acrylic. I used a whole can giving a new coat every 20min or so for paint and acrylic.
    I hanged my frame with wire through the head tube and around the joist of the garage roof.

    wicked thats great!

    maybe ill strip it to bare metal and paint it in the summer then.

    any pics of the end results guys?
