Anyone got personal experience of fitting these to a Boardman Comp? I'm thinking of buying a set but the clearance between frame and wheels looks miniscule, not sure if they will fit, and if they do will they rub? Don't want to spend £30 if they are not suitable.
Cheers.

If you can fit a 5mm Allen key between tyre and brake bridge/fork, they will fit...

I used them for a season on the alloy Boardman Comp and thought that, once set up, they were great. You will find though, there is only just enough room.
  • Currently have them setup on an Allez and its a very tight fit, the fit is so tight that a slight knock can lead to an annoying rub, I have found it take a few weeks of tweaking to get it right, but work well when in posistion. Just be careful where you lean the bike etc.

I've just fitted these to a Dolan preffisio winter bike . The front was no problem at all. The rear even with 23mm tyres was just too hit and miss. It revolved without touching one minute then the next it was catching. In the end I just routed it over the rear brake instead of under, doesn't look too silly and works fine.
