Hi

I have a 135 oln Goldtec hub built into a wheel

My bike has died and I am getting a new frame. But the frame is 120 oln.

Goldtec do a hub conversion kit see bottom of page

has anyone done this?
is it hard?
Will I need any tools?

Looking at the replacement axle, I'd guess a soft faced mallet is the only tool you'd need. Just knock the old axle out and fit the new one. Might be worthwhile emailing Goldtec and asking them.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Can it be that easy?
Surely the axle must be fixed in some way, or it'd slop from side to side while in use?

any one know how to contact Goldtec?

Sealed bearings sit against the shoulders on the axle I guess.
