No chance of a repair. Carry a spare or some vittoria pit-stop.
Make sure you check the tubs after each ride, pick out any flints and fill the holes with superglue to make them last as long as you can.0 -
I'm told it's best to carry a spare that has previously been on the bike so there's still some tacky glue that will apparently do the job until you get home. Having said that I always use clinchers because of the hassle of flats..0

That's the myth...it's not any more or less hassle with tubs really and the ride and other benefits are so great, on balance it's worth it.
You can carry something like Vitorria Pit Stop or similar which will seal and inflate the tub in the event of a small puncture (that's the theory, doesn't always work).
Carrying a spare tub is easy and since punctures are less likely to come by, carrying one tub and carring some sealant such as Pitstop should be enough unless you are very unlucky.
It makes sense to just use a pre-used tub as a spare, just to get home and then fit a new one properly (assuming Pit Stop won't fix the puncture). As stated above, the tub should have some glue on the base tape which will reactivate if it's not too old, with whatever is left on the rim. Just don't go crazy round the curves and you'll be fine.0 -
