Brake nut too short?

Just tried to fit the brake calipers to my new Ribble Gran Fondo but the nut for holding the caliper onto the fork is too short. The calipers are SRAM Rival and the nut is approx 23mm long and seems to be woefully short. I even tried removing the serrated washer just to see if it would fit but still too short. The back brakes were fine, it's just the front that's causing the problem. Am I missing something?

Cheers

I do belive you may need to get an extended Allen key bolt, mine had two different sizes as on some forks the bolt is recessed into the for so can use shorter one....I think.

This is the longest I've found quickly looking online.

When I had this problem I got round it with an old canti boss and bolt and threadlock. I screwed the short canti bolt into the boss with loads of threadlock on it and then screwed it onto the brake and cut it to length.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
