Zipp 530 dishing

Got an old pair of Zipp 530s (the ones with the Hope titanium hubs) which I used to use for time trialling, looking to start using them again as I haven't ridden them for ages, but the dishing on the rear wheel is out. It's not by much, a few mm, but when put on a frame the rim sits slightly to one side.
So should I just use them as they are, I can set the rear brake to allow for this. Or do I take them to a wheel builder to sort out. Bit worried about doing this as they are quite old. I could ruin a perfectly useable rear wheel.

If they went out of dish, is likely because the tension on the NDS has gone down... this means that spokes will fail pretty soon if you use them... that unless they were out of dish to start with...
By all means get them checked, where do you live?left the forum March 20230 -
Flip the wheel, see if it's the wheel dish or the frame dish.0

I live in Herefordshire. Couple of good bike shops nearby, might drop them in and see what they think.ride_whenever wrote:Flip the wheel, see if it's the wheel dish or the frame dish.
Tried the frame with a different wheel, which seemed to be fine. So pretty sure it's the wheel not the frame.0 -
Make sure they measure the tension before re-dishing, most LBS don't bother as they know better than any instrument... and they are always wrong.left the forum March 20230
