The new full gruppo will cost £1900!! :O http://www.fudgescyclestore.com/index.php?p=11433

Now I think that is very expensive, especially seeing as the old red groupset is under a grand.http://www.fudgescyclestore.com/index.php?p=73424

Seems even more expensive when the Ultegra DI2 is £1500. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-ultegra-di2-groupset-internal-wiring/

Now I am a massive Sram fan and run Force, I was hoping to keep an eye out for some red bargains when stores try and get rid of the old red stock. But I think £1900 is too expensive. I mean it's even more expensive then Super Record!

That's discounted! Full price is 2200!!!!!!

I'm a SRAM fan too but that's absurd. If it had the hydraulic brakes I'd be more accepting but....

Sounds more like they're over-inflating the price to catch the fools who will pay it to be first to get the latest kit!!

"Pricing for the new Red does go up but at least it's not by an exorbitant amount – and in terms of weight, it'll remain an enticing option."

    from here...... http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/sram-red-2012-full-details-33072

Component rrp's are on the link - not sure how they compare to current Red though

It wont be that expensive when its out, with standard brakes, noone would buy it.

Ive been umming and ahhhing for a while over changing to Campag from Sram Red and now ive seen the new space-age styling, Ive made the decision to change. Ive no doubt it will work just as brilliantly as the current Sram but I dont like how it looks.

You could get a quality italian frame, put that on, and looks-wise, well, its gonna look like youve put expensive but loud looking alloy wheels on a ferrari or something to me... shame, Campag seems like the only groupset thats not saying 'dont look at the the bike, look at me, me, me, me'.

Im not saying it wont work brilliantly though, I love Sram's shifting.

(of course, some frames have brash styling and all when finishing kit is loud looking too, it might look great on some bikes)

Let's just get this in perspective here

a bunch of cogs/gears, cables, brakes that squeeze a rim, a bicycle chain and some shifters.

    2 thousand pounds sterling :?

They are just trying to catch the early adopters. I'm sure that once folks spend their hard earned on othe options then the prices will fall in line Ultegra Di2.
