Hi, new to mtb , got a great deal on a genesis core 00 a few months back and happy with it - I had done some homework and was aware of the poor suntour fork - I dont think it is 'that' bad I am 15st and it has never bottomed out, but I am going to treat myself to a budget upgrade - I have spotted Marzocchi 44 TST 2 AIR 2010 at Chain reac which seem reasonable and get good reviews for the price GBP 120 == need help on 2 things -
(1) Any feedback on the fork - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=75482
(2) How would the 140mm travel effect the geometry of the core 00.
thanks

I would stick with 100mm, 120 max. 140 would not only mess with the geometry, likely to break the frame as well, and you would die.
Although you need to look at the actual length as well.
At the price you would probably not do better than

140 is about 30mm too long for that frame.
I would stik to a 100 mm fork. Maybe one that could be adjusted to 120 mm for a try out."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I think that you have listed CSU (crown-steerer-uppers), which is a part for forks, not a whole unit.A much loved, Giant Trance X3 20100
