Just toying with getting a new bike on the CTW scheme and the genesis seems to tick all the boxes for non cx racing and maybe the odd audax ride. I'm trying to work out if I need a 52cm or 54cm . I'm 5ft 8 with a 31 inside leg and wad thinking of the 52 but I've been advised by the online retailler than we are tied to that I need a 54. In my other bikes I have 53.5cm top tube which fits done.

I'm also wondering if I can drop to a 25mm tyre ?

Ant advice on this bike is much appreciated

I believe you can fit a 25cc tire.

On the sizing, the tt lengths are a little short on the genesis range.

If you already have a road bike, check its geometry and then look up the specs online and see what fits.

To be honest, I think you can adjust the stem, bars etc cheaply if you find it too short/ long

Cheers a 25mm would be great.is be happy with a 28mm . My road bike comes up at 53.5 so I'm figuring the small will fit although its slightly lower on the front . Feedback seems very good on these the only negative being its weight.

  • I'm 5ft 9.5 and have gone for a 54cm. I actually ride a 56cm day one. I think 52 would be too small.

I've got 28c tyres on mine, GP 4 season. Prob overkill mind. 25c a must though.

Its a toughy stand over height is ok on both I'm.guessing I can always shorten the stem length on a 54 . My bianchi is a 53.5 top tube but is sloping and this is where I'm stuck. Bike geometry is a dark art.
