Ribble TT Frame headset
Anyone help
trying to fit a headset to a Ribble alloy TT Frame got the headset recommended by ribble (1 1/8" ITS (Hidden) Headset campag standard 45/45)
I have been trying to press in the cartridge berrings using my workshop vice and they are very tight i didn't want to put to much pressure on them so give up, but thought they should have pushed in with out to much effort?
wondering if this is the correct headset for the frame?
should the berrings be so tight?
any replies welcome cheers

I built one of these up last year. I used the Alpina 45x45 headset which I am certain was also Campag fit.The bearings didn't need any pressure to insert them. They just rest inside the head tube. They will only go down so far and may sit a little proud. Take it yours won't go in at all?0

same headset as i got from ribble,im thinking that the frame i have is an older model as the current ones as i bought it second hand (it has recess on seat tube for rear wheel, current frame not recessed)must be different headset worth a phone call to ribble?0

yeah that frame's not been avalable for at least a couple of years. they usually reply to technical queries via email. if you ring up you might get fobbed off by some YTS muppet.0
