Just got myself a very nice BMC Promachine and want some pedals and shoes to go with it.
Have previusly been using MTB-style pedals and cheapo entry-level specialized shoes.
I'm looking at the Look Keo Classic pedals, and after some shoes around the £100 mark.
Maybe Shimano R106s - any comments?
Purpose: club rides and maybe the odd bit of racing / TTg.
Thanks.

All sounds fine...I have keo classics on 1 bike and keo max carbon another...not much difference,,classics are good value.
As far as shoes are concerned, fit is everything....I have had Shimano, specilaised and Sidi.....the specialised fit me better than Shimano......that may well be different for you...so best bet is to try a few brands to be sure.0 -
Specialized fit me better than Shimano as well. Their shoes are reasonably priced as well.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

my cheapo specialized do fit quite well - they seem to be quite wide? (I normally need wide-fitting trainers.)
I've heard shimano's size up small - but are they a narrower fit too?0 -
If you normally need a wider shoe.....I think the consensus is that Shimano & Sidi, tend to be a narrower fit and Northwave are a wider fit....the above relate to standard and non wide fit variants obviously.0

I have quite narrow feet. Northwave were too wide for me, Giros fit fit perfectly.
