im currently running presta and am curious to know what others are using and for what type of riding ther doing, and peoples opinion on the two?

Six and two threes...
Most higher end rims are Presta equipped, but I have bikes with both Presta and Schrader and really don't give a hoot as they both do the job, as in allow me to inflate/deflate my tubes...0 -
Presta seem classier, I prefer Schrader as I have a habit of breaking the little knobby bits off Presta in the middle of nowhere.I don't do smileys.

It is all to do with rim width. Thinner rims can not use car type ( diameter) as they would weaken the rim by removing to much material.
